HAMAK Hospitality Solutions is a family-owned and operated boutique tourism consultancy and destination management company based in New York’s Hudson Valley.

Our work is shaped by our family roots in Aruba, where tourism is central to the island’s economic strength and way of life. Growing up with this understanding gave us firsthand insights into how tourism, when developed thoughtfully, can support local business, preserve cultural identity, and create lasting opportunity for communities.

Today, we bring that lived experience to the Hudson Valley by helping destinations, organizations, and hospitality businesses harness tourism in ways that strengthen their communities and support long-term success.

The Family Behind HAMAK Hospitality

HAMAK Hospitality was born from both a lifetime in tourism and a deeper story of our family. The name itself carries that meaning, formed by the initials of Harish, Ayerim, Maduro, Adian, and Kalya, grounding the company in people and values that shape every decision we make. HAMAK represents both family and legacy, a reminder that work is not only about making an income, but building something that lasts.

Founder Ayerim brings over two decades of experience in tourism strategy and destination marketing. Alongside her husband, Harish, whose life journey from Aruba’s marine and hospitality environment to agricultural life in New York’s Hudson Valley, reflects a deep respect for the land, people, and patience required to build something over time.

Their children, Adian and Kalya, now young adults entering the workforce, bring a fresh perspective, creativity, and a new generation of ideas into the business. Each member of the family plays a role in HAMAK, making it not only a professional endeavour, but a shared commitment.

On an island where tourism plays a vital role in everyday life, we saw early on how a strong visitor economy can support local businesses, create opportunity, and strengthen communities while preserving cultural identity.
